1966 Ford Galaxie 500 7 Litre Convertible:

The vehicle owner purchased this Galaxie out of Canada as a very presentable driver. He actually flew in to Canada and drove the car home….that is another story but he made it home ok. We took the car in and performed a complete exterior restoration body on frame leaving the under body and drivetrain as they were. The vehicle was media blasted to the bare metal. The left and right rear quarter panels, outer wheel house panels, and trunk floor drop off panels were replaced due to the typical rust issues. Trunk floor and interior floor pans were in excellent shape. With the front end sheet metal removed we repainted the firewall and cowl panel. All the bolt on body panels and rest of the vehicle were reworked and refinished inside and out with the original EmberGlo color. The interior seating was all original and in excellent condition. The convertible top was replaced by Atlantic Upholstery. The 7 Litre specific pin stripping was all hand painted to the exact dimensions and layout as original. The vehicle owner provided us with a large number of NOS parts to reassemble with, which just adds to how stunning and original the finished product looks. This vehicle was completed in the fall of 2012. This car has become the favorite summer cruising car for the whole family it is driven and enjoyed . The Galaxie has also won a few trophies at some local car events including a Best Ford and a Best Of Show award as well as a top 50 pick out of 600 plus cars at the Cruisin Downtown car show in Manchester NH. 2013.
